A majority of 43,000 respondents to a survey of Thames Valley families indicated they support their children returning to the classroom in September. 
The voluntary survey found about two-thirds of families would be willing to send their children back to school full-time with enhanced health protocols. An even larger number support returning to school with smaller class sizes and alternate days or weeks. About a third of parents said they did not support or were not sure...

The lingering financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to cause increased demand for backpacks and school supplies among students in need when Thames Valley schools re-open in September.
To meet the need, the Thames Valley Education Foundation (TVEF), United Way Elgin Middlesex, and the Salvation Army will be hard at work this summer preparing to support students through the community-wide  Best First Day  drive for school supplies.

Thames Valley has launched an online survey to capture the concerns and expectations of families about the re-opening of schools in September.
